Citizens of the world s most affluent nation, where more consumption of globally supplied materials and products occurs than any other country on earth, can use their consumer choices to influence business practices here and abroad. Buying and selling can be leveraged as activist tools to drive positive change. As the challenges of climate change and ecosystem degradation unfold, business is strongly positioned to join the lead in answering them.
